On December 14, 2023, Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) held its annual National Dealer Conference at the Hilton Manila in Pasay City. The event was organized to showcase FUSO’s performance and achievements, and to recognize the hard work of its dealers.

The four biggest commercial vehicle brands collaborated to create a future of mobility

Tokyo, Japan / Leinfelden, Germany – In a recent joint press conference, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), Daimler Truck Holding AG (Daimler Truck), Hino Motors Ltd. (Hino), and Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that aims to accelerate the progress and development of advanced technologies and merging of MFTBC and Hino.

All four brands collaborated to achieve carbon neutrality and create a prosperous mobility, focus on developing CASE technologies (Connected / Autonomous & Automated / Shared / Electric) and globally strengthening commercial vehicle business further.

  • MFTBC and Hino will collaborate in commercial vehicle development, procurement, and production, while Daimler Truck and Toyota will also collaborate on the development of hydrogen and other CASE technologies to support the competitiveness of the new company.

The brands plan to sign a definitive agreement in the first quarter of 2024 and aim to close the transaction by the end of the same year. Details of the scope and nature of the collaboration, including the name, location, shareholding ratio, and corporate structure of the new holding company, will be decided within the next 18 months.

FUSO Philippines officially opens new dealership in Carmona, Cavite

Carmona, Cavite, March 30, 2023 – Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) inaugurated its newest dedicated dealership in Carmona, Cavite under Alpine Motors Corporation (AMC). Situated along the main road of Governor’s Drive in Barangay Mabuya, Carmona, Cavite, it is approximately 1,870 sqm. with 347 sqm. five-vehicle showroom area (mix of LDT, MDT, HDT), service work bays that can accommodate two (2) commercial vehicles and includes one (1) inspection pit. It also highlights modern interior and exterior facilities focusing on providing customers with a better FUSO experience.

FUSO Philippines inaugurates a new dedicated dealership in Urdaneta, Pangasinan

Urdaneta, Pangasinan, March 27, 2023 – Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), the general distributor of FUSO, and one of the Philippines’ primary commercial vehicle distributors of brand-new trucks and buses, officially inaugurated its new dedicated dealership in the Gateway to Northern Philippines – Urdaneta, Pangasinan under the management of HMEN Motors headed by Mr. Julius Hilomen.

Urdaneta is considered a semi-dense area in the province of Pangasinan. FUSO Philippines kicks off its 2nd wave of Fuel Eco-Run Challenge

Bagac, Bataan – Following the 1st wave of Fuel Eco-Run Challenge last September 2022 – Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) once again proven its fuel-efficiency marking of three (3) FUSO trucks including Canter FE73, Canter FE85-S, and FJ 2528R.

The 2nd wave of the Fuel Eco-Run Challenge commenced last February 17, 2023, at the same route in San Fernando, Pampanga to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Bagac, Bataan covering 158.3 kilometers that covered a mixture of traffic, uphill and downhill areas, city roads, and suburban driving conditions.

From Carworld, Inc. – FUSO Pampanga, the trucks traveled carrying weight equivalent to 8000 kgs for the FJ 2528R, 2,700 kgs for the Canter FE85-S, and 1,000 kgs for the Canter FE73 to demonstrate delivery and trucking scenarios, as well as achieve reliable results.

The results indicated below are observed and certified by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP).

FUSO Philippines turns over Canter units to Gamboa Group of Companies

Pasig City, Philippines – Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), together with its dedicated dealership in Cainta, Peak Motors Philippines, Inc. (PMPI), turned over a total of seven (7) Canter units to Gamboa Group of Companies (GGC).

SFP executives and partners from Daimler Regional Center along with the officers from PMPI met the team of GGC to express their gratitude for the trust and confidence in purchasing FUSO products.

Canter Express Modern PUV (Class 3) achieves 8.8km per liter in FUSO Fuel Eco-Run Challenge

Bataan, Philippines — The Canter Express Modern PUV (Class 3) achieved an impressive fuel consumption figure of 8.8km per liter over nearly 152.7 kilometers (which customers may save up to Php 6.3 per kilometer compared to traditional PUVs [Jeepney] with 5.2km/l average fuel consumption) while simulating the actual PUV operating environment such as passenger load and road conditions during the FUSO Fuel Eco-Run Challenge. Based on the survey among modern PUV drivers, 6 to 7km per liter is their benchmark for fuel efficiency.

The FUSO Modern PUV was driven from San Fernando, Pampanga to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Bataan, and all the way back within a single day. It was observed and certified by Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) and covered by its media partner, Autoindustriya.

Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation wins Network Expansion Award

Singapore — Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), the general distributor of FUSO, and one of the Philippines’ primary commercial vehicle distributors of brand-new trucks and buses is pleased to announce that the company received the Network Expansion Award for 2021/2022 during the Daimler Truck Regional Center Southeast Asia (RC Sea) Awards last November 10, 2022, at the Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore.

The international conference was attended by top executives from different Daimler commercial vehicle distributors across Southeast Asia including overseas partners to discuss Keynotes, Business Updates and Best Practice Sessions.
