Quezon City, Philippines — Last March 31, 2022, Mr. Yoshihisa Hosaka ended his appointment as President and CEO of Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), the general distributor of FUSO and one of the primary commercial vehicle distributors of brand-new trucks and buses in the Philippines. Mr. Hosaka’s new assignment will be in Sojitz Corporation Head Quarters in Tokyo, Japan to fulfill a new role for the following markets in some African countries as well as Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Saudi Arabia.
During Mr. Hosaka’s term, for FY2021, SFP sales grew by 11% despite the economic uncertainty due to the pandemic. SFP also managed to launch the all-new FUSO Canter 6-wheeler models and expanded the dealer network.
To succeed Mr. Hosaka, from April 1, 2022, Mr. Yosuke Nishi will be SFP’s new President and CEO. Mr. Nishi started his automotive career in the Philippines as an executive from 2012 up to the present. Prior to April 1, 2022, Mr. Nishi was the President and CEO of Sojitz G Auto Philippines, the authorized importer and distributor of Geely cars in the Philippines, which is also a part of Sojitz automotive business in the country.

FUSO vehicles have been sold in the Philippines since 1969. A leading Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer across many markets and known primarily for its high-quality products. The current FUSO range in the Philippines encompasses light, medium, heavy-duty trucks, light buses, and modern PUVs.
Together with the introduction of the new President and CEO, SFP also relocated their corporate headquarters in Alabang, Muntinlupa City to Quezon City.
