Pasay City, Philippines, July 9, 2022 — For this year’s Manila Commercial Vehicle Show, Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), the general distributor of FUSO and one of the Philippines’ primary commercial vehicle distributors of brand-new trucks and buses, exhibited Class 2 and Class 3 Modern PUVs together with the Canter FE71 with Aluminum Van Body at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City last July 7 – 9, 2022.
To meet the growing demand and expand its market in Metro Manila, the FUSO light-duty trucks and modern PUVs promise world-class performance, reliability, durability, and maximum business returns, suited for logistics, supply chains, and transport cooperatives.
“As Senator, I have called on the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to expand the contracting service program, to help public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators secure their jobs as well as guarantee that fares in public transport will remain affordable,” says Hon. Risa Hontiveros, Senator, Republic of the Philippines.
As the government continues to strengthen the program of PUV modernization, many transport cooperatives still have concerns that they would like to discuss with specific authorities, making the Manila Commercial Vehicle Show an excellent platform to thresh out concerns regarding the transition of traditional jeepneys to modern vehicles.
The 3-day show consists of different co-located events from each day. National Truckers Assembly commenced on Day 1, discussing the trucks offered by the brands, specifications, and market performance. SFP presented the F-Wing, a 32 ft. Wing Van Body mounted on the robust FJ 2528R chassis.
Day 2 focused on PUVMP-Jeep Forum and Bus Operators Assembly; SFP showcased the brand’s modern PUVs Canter Commute (Class 2) and Canter Express (Class 3) displayed in the FUSO booth.
The organizer (833 Marketing) also invited the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) Metro Pacific Tollways to promote safe driving and vehicle preventive maintenance as well as organize fun activities that instill safety among participants.
FUSO has a wide presence across the Philippines to assist transport cooperatives with their modern PUV requirements. SFP encouraged transport cooperatives nationwide to switch to safer, reliable, and more convenient modernized PUVs.
