Manila, Philippines — According to the recent July sales figures of the Truck Manufacturers’ Association (TMA), Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), the general distributor of FUSO and one of the primary commercial vehicle distributors of brand-new trucks and buses in the Philippines hailed as Rank 3 in terms of truck and bus sales performance.
This marks the second time for FUSO to improve its sales ranking to 3rd in the TMA tally; the first was last March. In addition, FUSO showed a remarkable improvement from January to July 2022 sales performance as it expanded by 26.2% compared to the previous year, while the industry growth showed 1% — this resulted in the improvement of FUSO’s market share to 11.4%.
Another breakthrough is the segment under the Light-Duty Truck covering 4.1T to 4.5T or Category 3 under TMA segmentation; FUSO was able to penetrate 22% market share in July, which allowed the brand to climb up to the 2nd spot. Thanks to the consistent sales contribution of FUSO Canter FE71 (4W) and Canter FE73 (6W) for making this achievement possible.
SFP President and CEO, Mr. Yosuke Nishi said, “FUSO’s 3rd spot in the overall industry is a proof that the brand has established a relationship with our customers. It is a testimony that FUSO is committed to our promise of delivering high-quality and reliable products and services to our customers’ business needs. Aside from this, we thank our dealer partners and front liners for their efforts and dedication to living the brand’s core values.”
“This milestone indicates that we are committed to our core values to provide the best sales and service support to all our customers,” He added.
FUSO has been in the business of providing reliable, durable, and efficient commercial vehicle products. With FUSO’s global brand tagline, “Future Together,” – SFP will continue to accelerate efforts to strengthen its growing business across the country further.
For the remaining months of this year, SFP is confident of achieving more sales milestones to expand market presence in the industry. Through the company’s strategic plans and continuous dealer expansion, SFP is still on track to provide FUSO products to customers that radiate high-quality, sustainability, and best value for money.
